Newsletter of the Kitsap Aircraft Radio Control Society (KARCS), AUGUST, 2006

FROM THE LEFT SEAT

The Air show is just around the corner, Sept. 16th  and it will be the most important one that we have had. All of the Kitsap County Commissioners and the Parks Dept. dignitaries will be in attendance for the dedication of Little Field in memory of Marlin Little, who was the driving force in acquiring our flying site.  His widow, Lynne, and her family will also be our Guests of Honor. Although we haven't finalized the details of the ceremony, we hope to have a rough draft by the time the August 8th club meeting rolls around.

What I'm leading up to is that I'd like to see a massive turnout at this meeting  and a record number of volunteers to pitch in and help make this our best Air Show, ever. Think about it; with all of the county dignitaries in attendance it will be one of our best opportunities to promote our dream of moving the tree line back a ways. { Any one out there who wants to crash their plane into a tree to prove our point ? ] I'd also like to see a whopping turn out for a pre -Air Show work party [ time and date to be announced later ] to show off what we have accomplished in the " old gravel pit ".

So please plan on attending and pitching in.  Your club needs you !!

Thanks,

Al
