2026 Racing 

June Play-by-Play

Overview
I arrived at the field about 8:00am to find a mild wind blowing and very cloudy. Weatherman predicted 85% chance of rain with possible thunder showers. We had an light turn out for today. Nasty downpour betwee 8:45 and 9:15, then it quit. By 10:00 AM, the clouds were sparse and not so ominous, but the wind had picked up. In fact the wind was getting stronger, and blowing for a reverse racing start. Competition Saturday in June was an interesting day for all. Thank you to everyone who was crazy enough to show up and support us today. We had about 15 people counting all the spectators and racers.

Weather
Very ominous cloudly with about a 10 to 15 mph wind blowing the wrong  way and gusting at times.  So we had to do a reverse racing take off.

T-28 Class

Heat 1, Section 1: Terry first, Rick F. second, Geo B. third, and Marlon H. fourth, Ron Gowan blinked and picked the wrong yellow plane and thus flew into the trees.

Heat 1, Section 2: No Section 2

Heat 2, Section 1: Rick first, Terry second, Geo B. third,  and Marlon fourth. Ron was DNS.

Heat 2, Section 2:  No Section 2

Heat 3, Section 1: Terry first, Rick F. second, Geo B. third, and Marlon fourth.  Ron was DNS

Heat 3, Section 2: No Section 2

T-28 Wrap Up: Out of the fourteen (14) who signed up to race this year we had five (5) show up today. Race coordinator choose not to fly today so we only had five airplanes, heat 1 and four there after. We flew today without pylon judges on the honor system and the CD's calls. Also No streamers as it was very windy. Back to having fun flying again. I believe that everyone had a good day today. Good turn out considering the weather and thanks everyone for your support.

Reno Class

Heat One: Terry first, Rick second, and Geo third. 

Heat Two:  Terry first, Rick second, and Geo third.

Heat Three: Rick first, Terry secnd, and Geo DNF.

Reno Wrap Up: With only three planes flying today things went pretty quickly. And, We flew Reno also without pylon judges on the honor system and the CD's calls. Also No streamers as it was very windy. Back to having fun flying again. But I'm sure everyone had a fun day, isn't that what it's all about anyway?  Thanks guys for coming out and joining the fun.
