Harold "Boots" Keith dead at 52

Long-time club member Boots Keith was killed in an automobile crash on Saturday, August 27th. Boots died at the scene of the crash which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. The driver of another car, who may have been intoxicated, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide.

Club Break-in

The Kitsap ARCS container was broken into on February 1, 2011.
The following items were stolen:

  • Avistar trainer (converted to taildragger)
  • Futaba receiver and a natural color OS LA 46 engine
  • SIG Kadet Senior, black & maroon, recently kit-built, no ailerons
  • Airtronics receiver and OS 40 FX motor
  • Airtronics master and buddy box transmitters
  • two Futaba 4YF transmitters, with buddy cord in a silver case
  • portable gas powered water pump (2.5 horsepower, 1.5 inch)

Runway Replacement

Thanks to everyone's hard work, and especially to Project Coordinator Greg Tinius, we now have a bright, shiny new runway. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time and skills to the effort.
